Minecraft is a sandbox gaming game that lets you create amazing things to show off to your friends. Lego is a tangible toy that you can spend lots of money to create something once and keep it forever. It is a way of expressing your love for the creations you’ve made. Both have a lot in common so it’s not surprising that the two worlds often meet.

Somehow, Servers smoothed out figures make the zombies sort of cute, even if they’re still looking for brains. This connection also means that people will go out of their way in real life to create amazing things, such as this Minecraft piston from RJMBricks.



YouTuber RJMBricks is a specialist in Lego builds. He has created an earthquake simulator and a driving simulation. They’ve now built an actual Minecraft piston. The amount of bricks, planning and work that went into this is staggering. RJMBricks even uses different colours to mimic the game version, making the textures look authentic.



The mechanics involved are fascinating, too the RJMBricks trying to determine how to make the piston move. Due to the weight of the components the design challenge caused Lego pieces to warp.
